This is it, the infamous final episode of Blake's 7. So in one sense only, yay, this is the last review post, and the end of the rewatch. :-)

This is a fairly typical season 4 episode: bleak and without hope. It's not even that entertaining unless you count Avon's underwear-less attire on Betafarl, and Zukan and Zeeona's hairstyles.

( Avon's idea of diplomacy is like breaking someone's leg, then saying 'Lean on me'. )

Ah yes, the episode that inspired so many fics (with or without red fur) and gets at least a mention in most PGPs. It's very OTT (and OOC) but entertaining enough though it's a strange mix of humour, cruelty, and betrayal.

( It's just we don't get offered galaxies every day of the week. )

This isn't that bad for a season 4 episode though it lacks the usual B7 witty dialogue.

( I've got a criminal record, you see. - Hasn't everybody? )

This is a lot better than Tanith Lee's other episode, Sarcophagus, but I still don't like it much.

( His pulse is very weak. - Well, that should go very nicely with the rest of him. )

This is my favourite season 4 episode despite the crap science and the confused end. It's a return to the clever Vila that Nation created, the plot is fun, and everyone's dialogue sparkles.

( Oh nothing much, I've been shot at, trodden on, nearly captured twice and now I think they're trying to blow me up. A fairly average day, you know. )

This is a lot better than the last few episodes (which is not at all difficult) and more fun too, except for Piri who is as annoying as Justin.

( I would prefer my slave to address me as 'mistress' )

I don't much like this episode, but I will say that it's a good one for Orac. The little plastic rat actually behaves quite well in this.

This episode is the only one I fast-forwarded the first time I watched it. I have therefore never seen it all and have no intention of changing that. The only interesting thing in it is poor Vila being bullied into cleaning the glycolene tanks and condescendingly offered a drink in consolation.

At least Servalan isn't in this one. Actually there are some good parts to this ep, like Vila's intelligence and knowledgeability, Dayna's improvising, and the complete lack of a tinkly bit at the end. I could have done without the Space Rats though.
